These are the diagram and control lines extracted from human activity in a photograph. This will eventually become the main design element of the building.
The word rotation is applied to the building. Occupants are able to get a sense that the building is rotating when they look at it and the entrance resembles a book that is being opened. The design is inspired by my observation during my visit to several university libraries. I realized there two types of reading individuals: serious individual, where they are sitting straight on a desk, and casual, where they sit on the sofa, floor, or anywhere they feel comfortable.
This construct is designed to accommodate both categories. For casual readers, the wall is specifically designed to handle multiple seating angles and the bookshelves are used to support the building. The rotating construct creates multiple openings for clerestory windows in order to provide sufficient light to the building.
